Day 9 – Plan Your Bike Route

National Bike to Work Day is held on Friday, May 19th in most parts of the US. Companies host breakfast stations, swag is handed out by sponsors, and parties make it a fun way to celebrate commuting by bike. We are counting down the days with a bit of preparation each day to make the commute a breeze.

Today’s task is one of my favorites – route planning. I use a mix of online and printed maps to create routes. And a trick that isn’t listed below is using google street view to get a visual of unfamiliar neighborhoods. Scrolling around in all directions, I can make a plan before I get to an intersection on ways to navigate it safely.

Enjoy today’s task!
