Opting Outside
No Black Friday for us – we opted outside just as REI encouraged. It seems like a number of families did the same today as we hiked the last segment of the Shoreline to the Sea Trail in Big Basin State Park along the Northern California Coast near Half Moon Bay.
Here are just a few snaps of our 13 mile hike.

That banana slug sure looks big!

It was surprisingly big – we saw a different slug chomping down on a huge mushroom. He was slowly devouring this thing that was about 20 times his size. I found it a bit disturbing.
