iPhriday – Wait for the West Wind

For this week’s iPhriday I have been looking backwards.

Growing up in Minneapolis, my family owned a sailboat that was hand-built by my dad, his brothers and my mom (and remembering my dad, lots of others had to have been involved since he loved to get people organized into projects…)

The trimaran was called “Wait for the West Wind” and it was moored at Lake Calhoun / Bde Maka Ska which is where we are spending the summer. My days are filled with memories as we see the boats on the lake pretty much every day.

This morning all the boats were waiting for the west wind.

Coincidentally, Wind is today’s daily prompt.
