Magical Summer Nights
My phone camera just can’t capture the magic of summer nights.
Last night I was walking with my friend Jeanna on a trail through the pines in Nebraska City. Fireflies filled the branches lighting our way.
Tonight we are in Dillon, Colorado with the stars sparkling amongst the backdrop of the Milky Way. Saturday and Sunday we will be riding the Triple Bypass bike ride here in the Rockies.
In lieu of grainy, black photos here’s a shot of the garden I took at Whispering Pines B&B this morning. You’ll just have to take my word on the rest.
What makes your summer nights shine?

Beautiful!! I have the same issue with capturing in pictures the sparkle of a summer nights sky. Doesn’t stop me from trying though! 😋

I even tried doing short video loops for the fireflies. In Texas we never had so many. It really was magical.

Stars.
If you have the chance to do it, the McDonald Observatory holds a star party and night viewing. https://mcdonaldobservatory.org/visitors/directions

I’ve only been there once – and it was during the day. I bet that would be incredible
