iPhriday – All Fenced In
The Arizona sun casts long shadows – even in the middle of the day.
Another stop during our visit to Tucson was the Mission San Xavier Del Bac which is still a working Catholic parish. The church is one of the finest examples of Mexican baroque architecture found in the US. Tours of San Xavier are managed by the non-profit Patronato San Xavier and led by volunteer docents (our friend Lin is a docent). Patronato San Xavier is dedicated to restoration and preservation of this National Historic Site.
I was intrigued by the ironwork around the grounds and the shadows it cast. I’ll post more about the church in the days to come but in the meantime, here are some shots for iPhriday.
Hosted by graydaysandcoffee, iPhriday features phone camera photos.
I love how you framed the church with that gorgeous fence. The shadow shots are so sharp and well composed!
