Picture Postcard – Prague
National Galleries showcase the creative history of a nation.
In Prague, the National Gallery is spread among seven buildings including Kinský Palace in the Old Town Square.
Beyond traditional art, Prague is home to the unique Black Light Theatre – a combination of dance, costumes designed for black light effects, acrobatics, fantasy, and sometimes comedy. In a four day visit we saw two shows at the Image Black Light Theatre.
The City also enjoys the political freedom of street art with the most famous site being the John Lennon wall – recently whitewashed to a blank canvas in a controversial move by artists pushing the envelop once again.
Welcome to a new series of travel postcards that I’ll be posting twice a week. Click on the card for a larger view.
