Picture Postcard – Castle Rock, Wisconsin
Roadside stops can bring nice surprises. This monument was a great place to stretch our legs on the way from Madison to Minneapolis on Interstate 94.
Once an island in a glacial lake, erosion has created natural sculptures now called Castle Rock. Part of Camp Williams home of Wisconsin’s Military Reservation since 1900. Formed in 1917 the 32nd “Red Arrow” Division is recognized for their valor in both World Wars. Castle Rock Lake is a state recreation area with camping, boating and fishing.
Welcome to a new series of travel postcards that I’ll be posting twice a week. Click on the card for a larger view.
